Hong Kong is a fast-paced city.
So much so that 40 percent of
Hong Kong's 6.8 million residents have mobile phones.
But when
the constant need to communicate invades the operating theater
heads will roll.
That head belongs to an as yet unidentified
doctor who was talking with a car salesman while engaged in a
colon surgery.
The patient was aware of the doctor's entire
phone conversation while he performed the delicate operation.
The hospital apologized for the "unpleasant experience" and
has suspended the doctor in question.
