8 year old Mohammad entered his classroom in York. It was his first day of school.
"What's your name, lad?" asked the teacher. "Mohammad," he replied.
"You're in Yorkshire now, lad" replied the teacher, "So, from now on, you will be known as Joe".
Mohammad returned home after school. "How was your day, Muhammad?", his mother asked.
"My name is not Mohammad. I'm in Yorkshire, and now my name is Joe."
"Are you ashamed of your name? Are you trying to dishonour your parents? your heritage? your religion? Shame on you!"
His mother then commenced to beat the shit out of him. She then called his father, who beat the shit out of him again.
The next day returned to school. The teacher saw his fresh bruises and asked:
“What happened to you, Joe?"
"Well Miss, shortly after becoming a Yorkshireman, I was attacked by two fuckin’ Muslims.”
